The anticipation awaiting each Member and their guests arriving at Crofton Country Club’s first hole is the same that has been experienced by many professionals and amateurs alike. For more than 40 years, Crofton’s distinctive Ed Ault designed course has won praise for its classic layout, playability and mature, natural beauty. The par-72 course can play at more than 7,100 yards from the championship tees with four other tee options to provide golfers of all ages and abilities with an enjoyable and rewarding golf experience. Since its founding in 1964, the club has hosted both U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifiers as well as four Maryland Opens. February Events
Don't forget about our two hot culinary events this month. Next weekend is our down home barbeque buffet, with some amazing country cooking; and the week after is our special Valentine's wine dinner dance.
The country buffet will feature mouth watering ribs, pork and briskets, with all the traditional accompaniments and some great homemade barbeque sauce. It will be a great way to fend of the chill of last weekend.
The Valentine's Day wine dinner is going to have some amazing food stations, as well as a wonderful selection of premier Argentinean wines to experience. Think of it as a great way to broaden your palette, and try something new. Also, if you drink wine at home, we will have some great pre-order deals on featured wines.
Both evenings are going to be amazing, and I look forward to having you join us for some of our great food and fun.

Chili Cookoff
Crofton Country Club may be hosting its first ever Chili Cookoff!
Are you interested in being a contestant in the chili cookoff? If so, contact jmwalker@palmergolf.com for details. The winner's recipe will be featured in Traditions Grille for the following month.
Your support is needed! The official date will be Wednesday February 24th from 6:00 to 8:00pm if we have adequate
entries.
Deadline to sign up is February 10th!
All you need is a crock pot, and your special batch of chili (we recommend approx. 2 gallons, and can hot hold a portion if you have a small crockpot); there is no entry fee, and no restriction on ingredients or style of chili.
